Cairo, October 6, 2026: The Rafeeq team announced the launch of getrafeeq.app, the first Egyptian platform dedicated to selling eSIMs to travelers going abroad, with prices and payment in Egyptian pounds.
Egyptian travelers can buy a data eSIM for more than 200 countries straight from their phone on the website, with no app, and pay with their Egyptian bank card through a local payment gateway. No credit card and no international-enabled card are needed, which had been the biggest barrier to using foreign eSIM platforms that charge in US dollars or euros.
The eSIM reaches the customer by email and WhatsApp within minutes, installs by scanning a QR code, and works as soon as they land, while their Egyptian SIM and WhatsApp number stay as they are.
Rafeeq also offers an Arabic AI assistant that picks the best plan for each trip and guides installation 24/7, backed by an Egyptian support team on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and email. Popular destinations include Saudi Arabia (for Umrah and Hajj), the UAE, Turkey and Europe, plus regional plans that cover several countries with one eSIM.
