Rafeeq — your travel internet companion
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This page explains the data Rafeeq (the website, the Android app and the iPhone app) collects from its users, and how it is used and protected. By using the website or the app you agree to this policy.
Data we collect
- Account data: Your email and name. Your email is your account identity; we send the eSIM, activation details and order invoice to it. If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, we only receive your email and name from them. If you choose “Hide My Email” with Apple sign-in, we use the relay email Apple provides.
- WhatsApp number (optional): If you add it, we confirm it with a WhatsApp code and use it to contact you about your orders and support.
- Order data: Order number, plan, amount, payment status and eSIM details (ICCID and activation code), so we can show your purchases and issue invoices.
- Usage data: eSIM status and usage from the network provider, shown to you in “My eSIMs”.
- Ad measurement data: Events such as viewing a plan, starting checkout and completing a purchase, sent to Meta (Facebook) so we know which ads reach people. See “Ads and tracking” below.
We don’t collect your location, contacts or photos, and your bank card details never reach us.
How we use your data
- Preparing the eSIM and sending activation details to your email (and WhatsApp if you added your number).
- Showing your purchases, usage and wallet balance when you sign in.
- Contacting you about an order or a related issue.
- Measuring our ad performance on Meta (with your consent on iPhone).
We don’t sell your data to any third party.
Ads and tracking
We use the Meta Pixel on the website and Meta App Events in the app to measure which ads bring customers. On iPhone the app asks you first (App Tracking Transparency); if you decline, we don’t use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change your mind anytime in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset or disable the advertising ID in your phone’s Google settings.
Who we share data with
- eSIM Access and esimcard: eSIM suppliers, to provide the eSIM and usage data.
- EasyKash: to process payments (card, wallet, Fawry). Your card details never reach us; EasyKash handles them directly.
- Google Firebase: to manage sign-in and store your account.
- Google , Meta (Facebook) and Apple: to sign in with your account there, if you choose to.
- Meta: to measure ads, as explained above.
- Zoho: to send emails (eSIM details and invoices).
- WhatsApp (Meta): to send the number confirmation code and support messages, if you added your number.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account yourself at any time from the “Account” page in the app or on the website (getrafeeq.app/usage/#account). Deletion permanently removes your account, sign-in data, wallet balance, referral code and your chats with Rafeeq in the app and on the website; if you signed in with Apple, it also revokes the app’s link to your Apple account. Order and invoice records (order number, plan, amount) are kept only for legally required accounting and tax purposes. If you need help deleting, contact us on WhatsApp.
Install tokens
The eSIM install token (installToken) is stored only in the browser or device used for the purchase, and is not sent anywhere except when requesting that install status.
